Course Description

This course interrogates the role of corporations in frameworks of law and global governance and engages with their contributions, both positive and negative, to the attainment of social priorities. Topics to be explored may include, but are not limited to, the relationship between business and human rights, corporate activity and environmental regulation, international accountability mechanisms, institutional risk assessment and compliance, and private sector activism in pursuit of sustainable development goals.

Students will be required to submit a final substantial research paper, due via EXPO no later than noon on May 8, 2025.
